#1. Monday starts our sectional days with WOODWINDS & PERCUSSION until 5:30pm. Woodwind need to plan to be OUTSIDE during rehearsal.
#2. ALL Students should GO HOME ON TUESDAYS if at all possible and return @ 6pm for rehearsal. Students who stay are required to remain in the band room from 4-6. #3. Our second home football game vs Forestview is THIS Friday, August 30th and is Full Band! #4. WE NEED HELP FOR THE PANTHER P GAMES on August 29th & August 31st! See CHARMS to sign-up! #5. We will be taking a “select” pep band to the South Point away game on Friday, September 6th to perform at the Patriotism Bowl at Pre-Game. There will be an additional 10 spots open for additional students who would like to attend. The list of students attending this game will be posted on Monday. #6. Please mark your calendars for September 13th & 14th. We will be having a clinic at the stadium with our music & drill writer Tim Hinton on the 13th from 6-10 and the 14th from 9-1 and will be having a parent preview of MATADOR on the 14th @ 7pm! #7. There are many students who are not current on their band fees. At this point all students should have paid at least $325 of their band fees. The next band fee payment is due on September 15th! #8. Please be reminded that NO practice/performance is considered optional. It is not appropriate to miss any rehearsal. The allowed excused absences are listed in the handbook. In the event that you cannot attend a rehearsal /performance it is the STUDENT’S RESPONSIBILITY to inform Mr. Gulledge, Mrs. Loftis or Mr. Hall. Students who have unexcused absences face the following consequences: grade reduction, detention, and even removal from the program. We have no “bench” to pull from. If you are absent the entire group suffers! First week of school is here! Below are a few reminders for this very important week!

This is a mandatory event and has been on the calendar so please make sure you’ve made plans to attend. The Band Boosters will be feeding you lunch! #6.
