Originally from Columbia, South Carolina, Anne spent most of her childhood and early adulthood in Charlotte, NC. In 2007, she returned to South Carolina to accept a teaching position at Clover High School where she served as Assistant Director of Percussion until 2019. Anne taught students in Clover’s marching band, indoor drumline and concert percussion ensemble. With her assistance, the programs received high awards and recognition throughout South Carolina as well as nationally. In 2019, Anne graduated from Winthrop University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumental Music Education. She studied under the direction of Dr. Lori Crochet, Dr. B. Michael Williams and Dr. Adam Snow.
Anne is a former Director of Bands at Great Falls High School in Great Falls, South Carolina. She continues to perform with local bands and percussion ensembles, teaches privately at her studio, and offers clinician and design consultation. Anne is currently the Graduate Assistant for Winthrop University and resides in Rock Hill with her daughter Emily and husband Brian Turner.
