Mr. Nicholas Gibson is a native of Goshen, New York. Mr. Gibson received his master degree in jazz performance from Winthrop University in 2018 and received his undergraduate degree in music education from Winthrop University in 2008.
Mr. Gibson is teaching in the Clover School District serving as director of bands at Clover Middle School. Mr. Gibson previously taught in the Gaston County School District serving as director of bands at Forestview High School in Gastonia NC. Mr. Gibson also taught in the Union County Public School District serving as director of bands at Monroe Middle and Monroe High School in Monroe NC. All of the bands under Mr. Gibson's direction have earned superior ratings at local and state contests. He is a member of the South Carolina Music Educators Association, Music Educators National Conference and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. As an accomplished saxophone player, Mr. Gibson also gigs regularly around the Charlotte metro area and teaches private lessons. Mr. Gibson currently resides in Rock Hill SC with his wife Katie and daughter Sarah. |
