Hard to believe that Marching Band season is over. What a day on Saturday. I'm not sure about you, but I had quite the range of emotions on Saturday. I'm not sure I've still processed everything yet and I'm not sure I'll ever quite come to grips with how things shook out on Saturday. As I told the kids the middle of last week: "You pay your money and see how things shake out. Sometimes it goes your way... sometime it doesn't." Obviously the scores/placements didn't go as we'd hoped. That being said, I am nothing but PROUD of the students and the performances they had on Saturday. Our prelims performance was GREAT. Our finals performance was nothing short of AMAZING! I was speechless afterwards. I'm not sure exactly where they pulled it from but their effort, energy and passion was truly inspiring and a joy to behold. While I wish the judges would've rewarded our performance I know that the feeling we had afterward was something I will never forget and reward enough! Obviously, we will listen, evaluate and try to ascertain how/why things finished the way they did, but I believe in the long run... THEY GOT IT WRONG. That's my "opinion" and I'm going to keep it! ;-) Thank you to everyone who helped on Saturday get us there, back, on/off the field, fed, watered and motivated. We couldn't have done it without you! Please find attached the announcements for this week. Of Note: BAND PICTURE DAY IS THIS WEDNESDAY! We will have a professional photographer here on Wednesday from 11:30 – 4:30 and all students should plan to be photographed for the composite picture! No purchase required, but we want EVERYONE to be photographed. Middle School students should make plans to come immediately after-school! Our next Booster Club meeting will be NEXT TUESDAY, 14th. Please mark this on your calendar and make plans to attend. The deadline to turn in Poinsettia order is THURSDAY! This will be a GENERAL FUND fundraiser so I hope that you will help us improve our financial outlook by selling 10 flowers. These make great Christmas gifts! We have a Monday night Panther game next week and need you help! We were many people short this past Sunday and it cost us $$. If we continue to be short workers, then we will lose our stand. BoA Stadium is the Clover Band Booster Club’s PRIMARY funding source. If we lose our stand then we will have to cut programs and opportunities for the band program. Please sign-up and work a shift! Sign-ups are on CHARMS. Click to sign-up: Monday Night Panther Game 11/13 CAROLINA CROWN DRUM & BUGLE CORPS will be having their December camp HERE at Clover High School December 15-17! All students are encouraged to come and watch this WORLD CHAMPION group rehearse. Extra credit for students who attend!! The final band fee payment of $75 is due Wednesday, November 15th. Everyone should have their full band fee paid by this date. Many people are taking advantage of the PayPal option and using a debit or credit card to pay down/off their balance via CHARMS. We have many bills coming due that need to be paid, so it is essential that we collect these fees promptly. We still have over $25,000 in band fees from this year outstanding. We made a good push earlier this season to get $$ in, but with 1 MB payment remaining we should have about $8,500 outstanding. PLEASE do everything you can to pay your band fees Thank you!
