10/16 Update

CONGRATULATIONS ON A GREAT PERFORMANCE!  We finished in 12th place with a 73.25 which is a Superior rating on the BOA Scale.  We were 1.76pts away from being in finals.  Not bad for our 1st time ever attending.  We learned a lot and I think we’re set-up very well going into WCU this weekend!  KEEP PUSHING!

Of note:

October 16-120

• Monday – WW’s/Percussion until 5:30pm
  
• Tuesday – Full Band until 6pm (flipping w/Thursday)
• Wednesday – guard sectionals until 5pm
• Thursday – Full Band 6pm-10pm @STADIUM (load the truck during class)
• Friday – Teacher Workday/Football Game HOMECOMING (we will perform @ pre-game again!)
  

Please see the attached schedule for the WCU competition along with additional details. We will need many of our prop & pit helpers to plan to help on Friday night @ pre-game & Saturday at WCU!

We will AGAIN be performing REDEMPTION at the football game on Friday night BEFORE THE GAME!  We need all prop/pit movers available to help move equipment as this will be a SUPER tight time frame.  We will begin loading immediately following the performance so that we can get out quickly after the game for the early call time for WCU
 
We started our BED SHEET FUNDRAISER 10 days ago.  Have you sold any sheets?  Did you receive your packet?  IF NOT ASK YOU STUDENT!  SHEETS MAKE GREAT CHRISTMAS GIFTS & for the price/quality you CANNOT BEAT THEM!!

Is your child signed up for Region Band auditions?  Sign-ups are on Mrs. Loftis’s door.  Cost $10.  Every student received a region band packet and we are encouraging EVERY student to make an effort to participate!
